   The Peerless Claymore is the perfect replacement for a Delta Classic Deck roman tub faucet. Installation consists of removing the existing trim kit and installing the Peerless kit — no special tools, no special plumbing expertise required. The rough-in valve remains in place, just remove the existing kit. Everything is contained in the Peerless kit; including a plug for the hole left behind by the anti swivel screw of the classic faucet. All metal with a durable finish, the Peerless kit is in keeping with the expected 20-30 year life of a roman faucet. This is an inexpensive means of updating tub hardware during a bathroom remodeling project.

   I was replacing faucets in preparation to sell my house, so a good quality faucet at a good price was the aim. This fits the bill. As is the case with most roman tub faucets today, this is just a trim kit which must be used with a “rough in” kit. This means you install the valves and outlet, then these parts slip on to provide the handles and spout. Good nes about this is if you need to change out the visible features, you may not need to replace the valves too.

   This is a very good looking and heavy unit – it would have been perfect. Unfortunately my tub is way too old, and the valves are not even close. Be sure you know if your rough valve will work prior to purchase! 4 stars just because I have no idea if it works or not :). PS – I did contact support and the responded right away – so that’s a plus if you need help!

   Keep in mind, unlike other “faucets” this is just the trim hardware. You don’t have to change the valves and fittings, or if you are doing a new install, they come separately. For my application, the original knobs were round, and the hot valve had been installed 180 degrees off. Fortunately I was able to grind down the others side so the flat part of the handle fit and was oriented correctly. Allowed us to get rid of our “brass” tub hardware, in the garden tub we never use anyway. Good flow despite looking like a regular faucet outlet.

    There was a very nice, high dollar set on the tub when I bought this house but the plating started coming off and it really looked bad. This set is very nice and matches the Peerless single handle faucets I installed on the double sinks. The installation is quick and easy and it looks great.

    This faucet is just ok. The heft of the product seems comparable to other name brands products. I feel it’s overpriced for what you get. I received our package and it seemed to be unopened and in brand new condition until I inspected. It had small scratches on the finish on all 3 major pieces but not super noticeable so I kept it. I would not order this again and would pay a little more for a better product that came with all assembly pieces necessary. Lesson learned though…

    Terrible faucet. First one received was damaged. It was replaced with a second one which is awful too. The small hole for the water flow is off centered and the water comes out so hard it splashes all over the wall and I have a deep jacuzzi tub. Tried adding a valve on it to regulate the water flow and with that, it cut the flow back so much that it takes forever to fill the tub up. After putting up with this for months, I decided to contact peerless for a refund, it has a five year warranty, but they won’t honor my request. Needless to say, I’ll never purchase another item from them and will be sure to share my experience with anyone I know that’s in the market for new bathroom fixtures

    Installed easily on jetted garden tub to replace an older delta faucet. This does not come with new stems so you’ll have to buy those separately if you have a leak. This mounts easily to existing delta faucet stems and gives the tub a good looking facelift from the plain chrome or hard water stained old faucets.
